The Pingrup Community Resource Centre has been operating since July 2000. Pingrup is a small peaceful community with a population of approx 100, situated in the Shire of Kent, 400km south-east of Perth (see map below). It was officially established in 1924 although the first settlers arrived in Pingrup in 1911.
Community Resource Centres (CRCs) are friendly, locally owned and operated service and information centres. Over 100 centres across the State form the Western Australian Community Resource Network (WACRN), which is supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and the Royalties for Regions initiative.
Our Mission is to deliver quality social, business and economic outcomes to support sustainable growth in regional communities. We will build strong partnerships and develop as an innovative, responsive and connected Network.
The Pingrup CRC is governed by a committee of locals who kindly dedicate their time including; Chairperson Jaimee Tindal, Secretary Taryn Borgward and Treasurer Mardi Stanich. The CRC is managed by Donna Skerris and Rosi Lathwell.
