About Us
Welcome to the Pingrup CRC
The Pingrup Community Resource Centre has been operating since July 2000. Pingrup is a small peaceful community with a population of approximately 200, situated in the Shire of Kent, 400km south-east of Perth (see map below). It was officially established in 1924 although the first settlers arrived in Pingrup in 1911.
Community Resource Centres (CRCs) are friendly, locally owned and operated service and information centres. Over 100 centres across the State form the Western Australian Community Resource Network (WACRN), which is supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and the Royalties for Regions initiative.
